About the event
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop will benefit caregivers of young children, daycare & early childhood educators and anyone beginning (or revisiting) the toileting journey with a little one in their life who has a diagnosis of Autism or a suspected diagnosis!
Overview
It can be challenging to know the right time to start teaching toileting skills, the best way to motivate and reward your little one and what to do when accidents occur. Our workshop will help to answer some of these questions for you (and more!). We will cover the following topics:
- When and how to start teaching toileting skills
- How to prepare (yourself and your child)
- How to motivate & reward your little one
- How to build in communication for the washroom
- Strategies to generalize toileting skills to the community (i.e., school, daycare, out and about, etc.)
